railroad "T-town" with the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad rails crossing the top of Main Street. Commerce and supplies, as well as new citizens, arrived by rail here in the early days of Laurel's growth. Products of Laurel's cotton mills and manufacturing firms departed the same way.
